The fastest way to improve is to look at the games you have just played. ChessWOW imports your recent games from Chess.com and Lichess by username, or any game as a PGN file, and analyzes them with Stockfish 19 on your device. You get a report for each game and can replay every position on an analysis board. You do not need to sign in to either site.
Import your games in three steps
- Step 1
Choose the source. Open the import screen and pick Chess.com, Lichess or a PGN file.
- Step 2
Enter your username. ChessWOW loads your most recent games. From Chess.com, only public games are available. Your username is stored only on your device and sent only to the site you chose.
- Step 3
Pick a game. The game opens with its moves on the board. Start the report, or step through the moves yourself first.
You need an internet connection for the import. Everything after that, including the report, runs offline.
PGN files and copied games
PGN (Portable Game Notation) is the standard text format for chess games. Both Chess.com and Lichess let you download any game as PGN, and so do most tournament and database programs. In ChessWOW you can open a PGN file or paste a copied PGN or FEN from the clipboard. This also covers games from other sites, club tournaments you typed up yourself and annotated games someone sent you.
What you get for each game
After the import, ChessWOW can build a game report: accuracy for both sides, a graph of the evaluation over the whole game, and the critical moments where the game turned, each explained in plain words. Each move is classified, from book and best moves to inaccuracies, mistakes and blunders. The report also names the opening you played and counts how many of your moves were still opening theory. From any position, you can open the analysis board and explore alternatives with the engine.

Which games to analyze first
You do not need to review every game. These give you the most:
- Recent losses. The reason you lost is usually one or two moves. Finding them is the quickest way to stop repeating them.
- Close wins. Games you won but could have lost often hide the same weaknesses as your losses.
- Long games. Blitz games contain many moves played on instinct. Rapid and classical games show your actual decisions.
Before you open the report, spend a minute on your own: where did you feel unsure, which move did you regret? Then compare with the engine. The moments where your feeling and the evaluation disagree are the ones to study.
A rating estimate for Lichess games
For imported Lichess blitz and rapid games, ChessWOW can estimate the playing strength shown in a game, as a range on the Lichess scale. It is a rough estimate, not an official rating. How it works and what it can and cannot tell you is explained in estimate your chess rating.
Privacy and pricing

The App Store shows price and terms before you confirm anything.
